We're different because we see you. Individual attention in a group setting is where we excel. Learning to love your nervous system, your body, your mind, your injuries, and your fears.
WE PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR PHYSICAL CONDITIONS AND OFFER MODIFICATIONS WHEN APPROPRIATE.
myoga provides the room, you provide the curiosity to go deeper into yourself and see what you’re really made of.
LEVEL 2
In level 2 classes, we continue to develop your understanding and technique of the asanas and your body in space.
You'll continue to learn how, when, and why to use props intelligently. You also learn how to stretch and extend your body to cultivate stronger nerves and fuller awareness, including variations of the inverted postures and pranayama.
At this stage students attend 2-3 times/week and are starting to embrace a home practice.
LEVEL 1
In our level 1 classes, we'll teach you the shapes of the asanas (physical postures).
The first stage is feeling sensation and finding your breath and your ease as the sensations rise and fall. The stretch is there, the opportunity for health benefits no doubt, but more than this is beginning the ultimate relationship - with you!
Classes are 1 hour, and we suggest you try for 2/week.

All ages. All abilities. All levels. Just all.
LEVEL 3
In level 3 classes, there is an assumption of knowledge of the Sanskrit names of the asana and an understanding of the use of props to support your experience.
In a level 3 class, we may practise a so-called beginners asana, but your unfolding inner experience becomes top of mind - rather than the direct doing from start to finish being the goal.
Level 3 classes can be attended in studio and also online.

What is Iyengar Yoga? What is the length of a piece of string? It's yoga through the lens of the body, and you can read more about it by clicking here.

Yes! Often students with health or time limitations can benefit from 1:1 classes. Always, the hope is students will continue into regular classes at myoga or anywhere else in the world! Teachers in training at myoga also work 1:1 with Kellie.

Something you can easily move in, that won’t let anything fall out. Iyengar bloomers are not fashionable at all - but we love seeing your legs. We like to get upside down a lot - so something that tucks in is suitable.
-
Honestly, try and see. The reality is you'll feel like you're stretching your muscles, but sustained methodical practice will work on all your body systems, and truly you'll feel better for the break between eating and practice.

Like most things, there are two parts to the answer. One, it's a trip hazard, and two, drink before and after - you shouldn't need to drink water during your class. Yoga isn't a work out; actually, it’s a work in.
